Apex Home Lending: a demo lender, and what a Canadian broker can use from it

A young couple in Kelowna have found a house they like. It is late. The kids are asleep. They have a dozen questions, and the biggest one is simple: who do we even talk to?

They look up a few brokers. One site is a wall of fine print. Another is a phone number and a logo. They want the one that feels easy to talk to.

That is the job of a broker's website. Here is a demo that shows one way to do it.

Apex Home Lending is made up

Apex Home Lending is a made-up lender. It is not a real company, and it is not a client. We run it as a demo of our Mortgage starter. It lives in New Vibe City, a made-up city we use for all our demos. On the demo, it even lends the city's own play money.

So please read the demo for its shape, not its numbers. Nothing on it is a real rate, a real product or advice. Anything shown on the demo is not included unless it is on your Launch list.

What the demo does well

Open Apex Home Lending. The top of the page says plainly who the site is for. There are two clear paths: one for people who want to borrow, and one for people who want to lend.

Then there is a face. The demo introduces "Bobby," a made-up broker, who explains in a few short lines what he does and how he works. That is the part a real broker can copy. People choose a person, not a page of terms.

Shown on the demo, but not included unless it is on your Launch list:

  • A rates widget
  • Loan program pages
  • A payment calculator
  • A multi-step application
  • A partner portal for real estate agents
  • A pipeline dashboard for the office

What we will and will not put on your site

We do not write rates for you, and we do not write rules. Your site says what you tell us and can stand behind. If you post anything about rates or programs, it comes from you, in your words. Client stories go up only with their permission and their words.

What a Launch sets up for a broker

A Launch is $2,500 CAD plus GST, paid once. You get two hours, live, with one of our people. If you want them, we set up and test each of these with you:

  • Online booking. We connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. We add your meeting types, like a first chat or a renewal review, and your hours. Then we make one real test booking.
  • A client portal. Clients sign in with a code we email them. They see their bookings and files in one place, so documents are not lost in a pile of email.
  • One contact list. Every form and booking becomes a contact. We bring over the contacts you have now, including past clients.
  • Online payments, only if you charge for anything. Payments go into your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account. We never hold your money.

A chat box is there if you want it. It only answers from facts you approve. Leave it off if it does not suit your practice.

Every Launch has forms that send each message to the inbox you name. Your real name, team, services, logo and colours go on the site. It works on a phone, which is where that couple in Kelowna will find you.

Your site, in your words

After Launch, you change your site by telling it what you want, in plain English, like a text message. Type "add a page for first-time buyers in the Okanagan" or "add our new associate to the team page." On the call, you make one real change this way, with us beside you. We also teach you the visual editor for small fixes.

Your site runs in your own Replit account. We charge $0 a month, and your host bills about $20 US a month for use. That is the host's bill, in US dollars. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. You own the code, and you can leave any time with a full copy.
