Our law firm demo, and what a small BC firm can take from it

A small firm in a BC town has a lot going on. Two or three lawyers. A busy front desk. Files for wills, a house sale, a family matter. The phone rings while someone is in a meeting. A person who needs help leaves a message, or does not.

A website can take some of that load. Our law firm demo shows one way it might look.

A made-up firm, said plainly

The firm on our law demo is made up. It is not a real firm, and it is not a client. It is called Whitfield & Associates, a name we invented. The firm lives in New Vibe City, a made-up city we use for all our demos.

Anything shown on the demo is not included unless it is on your Launch list. We will say below what a Launch does include.

What to look at on the demo

Open the law firm demo. Look at the order of the page. Kinds of cases come first, each with its own short list. Then a page about the team. Then a plain step by step on how working with the firm goes. Then a form to ask for a case review.

That order is worth copying. People who need a lawyer want to know three things fast. Do you handle my kind of problem? Who will I talk to? What happens next?

The demo also has big tools and big claims. It has case tools, a results wall, and large totals. Those are there to show what the software can draw. They are made up, like the firm. A real site for your firm shows only what you tell us and can stand behind. Client words and results go up only with permission.

Shown on the demo, but not included unless it is on your Launch list:

  • Practice area pages
  • A case review form
  • Lawyer profiles
  • A legal resources blog
  • A referral partner portal

What a Launch sets up for a firm

A Launch is $2,500 CAD plus GST, paid once. You get two hours, live, with one of our people. If you want them, we set up and test each of these with you:

  • Online booking. We connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. We add your meeting types and your hours. Then we make one real test booking.
  • Online payments. If you charge for a first meeting, fees go into your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account. We never hold your money.
  • A client portal. Clients sign in with a code we email them. They see their bookings, invoices, quotes and files.
  • One contact list. Every form, booking and payment becomes a contact. We bring in the contacts you have now.

Every Launch has forms that send each message to the inbox you name. Your real firm name, lawyers, services, logo and colours go on the site. A chat box is there if you want it. It only answers from facts you approve. Leave it off if it does not suit your firm.

Change it without calling anyone

This part is worth a close look. After Launch, you change your site by telling it what you want, in plain English, like a text message.

A new associate joins. Type "add our new associate to the team page," with their bio. You start doing estate files in a new town. Type "add a page about wills for clients in Nanaimo." On the call, you make one real change this way, with us beside you. We also teach you the visual editor, for small fixes you can click and type.

Your site runs in your own Replit account. We charge $0 a month, and your host bills about $20 US a month for use. That is the host's bill, in US dollars. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. You own the code, and you can leave any time with a full copy.
