The menu changes with the catch: a restaurant website for the BC coast

The boat came in at three. The spot prawns look perfect, but there is no halibut today. Your chef rewrites the board by hand. Out in the ferry lineup, a couple is reading your menu on their phone. It still lists the halibut. It still shows last spring's hours.
Small coast kitchens live by what comes in. The menu shifts with the season, the weather and the boats. A website that needs a phone call to change cannot keep up.
Our Restaurant starter is built so you can keep up yourself.
What guests find
The starter is a full website made for restaurants, cafes and bistros. It looks good on a phone, which is where your guests will read it.
- Your menu. Sections, dishes and prices, in your words. Dietary notes if you want them.
- Hours and directions. Correct, on every page. Even the seasonal hours.
- A way to book. Tables, group dinners or private events, as you choose.
- A contact form. Each message goes to the inbox you name. Wedding parties, catering asks, lost-and-found scarves.
You can see one look it can have on our demo, Ember & Salt. Ember & Salt is a made-up restaurant we run as a demo. Some tools on it are not part of a Launch. Your Launch list says what is.
What we set up, together
The starter code is free and open. Anyone can copy it for $0. A Launch means one of our people builds it with you.
A Launch is $2,500 CAD plus GST, paid once. You get two hours on a live call. If you want each one, we set it up and test it with you:
- Booking. We connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. We add your booking types, like dinner seatings or the long table on Sundays, and your hours. Then we make one real test booking.
- Payments. Deposits for private events go into your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account. We never hold your money.
- A small shop, if it fits. Gift cards, hot sauce, a cookbook. Listed on your site and paid into your own account.
- A guest portal. Guests sign in with a code we email them. They see their bookings, invoices and quotes. Handy for event planners.
- One contact list. Every form, booking and sale becomes a contact. We bring in the list you have now.
A chat box is there if you want it. It only answers from facts you approve, like "do you take walk-ins?" or "is there parking?"
The menu, by text
This is the heart of it. After Launch, you change your site by telling it what you want. Type it in plain English, like a text to your sous chef.
"Take the halibut off tonight's menu and add spot prawns with garlic butter." Or "we are closed Mondays from October to March." The site makes the change. This is called vibe coding. On the call, you make one real change this way, with us beside you.
For tiny fixes, we teach you the visual editor. Tap a price or a photo, and change it right where it sits.
No strings
Your site runs in your own Replit account. We charge $0 a month. Your host bills about $20 US a month for use. That is the host's bill, in US dollars. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. Our hosting is $19 CAD plus GST a month if you would rather. You own the code. You can leave any time with a full copy.
We also give you a tour of your own admin, so you know where each booking, order and message lands.
We are based in Vancouver. We know the coast, and we know how much a menu can change in a week.
