A roofing website for the rainy season, set up with you in one call
The first big rain of the fall comes in off the water. By night, someone has a pot on the kitchen floor and a drip coming through the ceiling. They grab their phone and look for a roofer close by.
They find you. Now what can they do at that hour?
On most roofing sites, the answer is not much. There is a phone number and a photo of a truck. They leave a voicemail and hope. A good roofing site lets them do more than hope.
What the Roofing starter gives you
The Roofing starter is a full website built for roofers. It has a page for each job you do, like repairs, re-roofs, flat roofs or gutters. It has an estimate request form. The form asks if the job is an insurance claim or self-pay, so you know before you call back. Each request goes to the inbox you name.
It has room for your project photos, with before and after shots your clients said you could use. It has a page about the shingles and metal you really install, in your own words.
You can see one look it can have on our demo site, Summit Roofing. Summit is a made-up company we run as a demo. Some things you see there, like the drone inspection part and the roof quiz, are shown on the demo but are not included unless they are on your Launch list.
The code itself is free and open. Anyone can clone the starter for $0. If you would rather have us set it up with you, that is a Launch.
One call, and it all works
A Launch is $2,500 CAD, plus GST, paid once. You get two hours, live, with one of our people. If you want each of these, we set it up and test it with you:
- Booked inspections. We connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. We add your visit types and your hours. Then we book one real test visit.
- Deposits and payments. Money goes into your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account. Clients who like to pay by Interac e-Transfer can still do that. We never hold your money.
- A client portal. Clients sign in with a code we email them. They see their visits, quotes, invoices and files.
- One contact list. Every form, booking and payment lands in one list. We bring in the contacts you already have.
We also walk you through your own admin. You will know where each request goes and where each payment shows up.
Change it from the truck
Roofing changes with the weather. So should your site. After Launch, you change it by telling it what you want, in plain English, like a text message.
The rain starts and the calls pile up? Type "put a note on the home page that we are booked two weeks out for repairs." A new metal roof is done and the client said yes to photos? Type "add these three photos to the project gallery." That way of building is called vibe coding. On the call, you make one real change like this with us beside you.
We also show you the visual editor. You click on a word or a photo and change it right where it sits. It is handy for small fixes, like a new phone number.
Yours, not rented
Your site runs in your own Replit account. We charge $0 a month. Your host bills about $20 US a month for use. That is the host's bill, in US dollars. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. If you want us to host it, that is $19 CAD plus GST a month. You own the code, and you can leave any time with a full copy.
We put up your real company name, your crew, your services, your logo and your colours. It works on a phone, since that is where a worried home owner finds you. We do not make up jobs, crews or reviews. Client words go up only with their say-so.
