Summit Roofing: a demo roofer's site, seen from a West Coast rainy season

On the coast, the first big rain of fall finds every weak spot. A drip in the hall. A stain on the ceiling. A gutter that spills over the back door. Then the phone starts ringing, and it does not stop until spring.

For a roofer, that is the busy season. It is also when a website either helps or gets in the way.

A made-up roofer we run as a demo

Summit Roofing is a made-up business. It is not a real roofer, and it is not a client. We run it as a demo of our Roofing starter. It is set in New Vibe City, a made-up city we use for all our demos.

Anything shown on the demo is not included unless it is on your Launch list. We will be clear about what a Launch does include.

What the demo does well

Open Summit Roofing. The top of the page is plain and calm. It says what the company does: storm damage, roof replacement, repairs. There is one clear button to ask for an estimate.

Then it asks a good question: do I need a new roof? A short quiz walks the homeowner through a few questions. It is a way to help a worried person think, before they call.

The page is also short. A homeowner with water in the hall does not want to read an essay. They want to know you fix roofs, where you work, and how to reach you.

Shown on the demo, but not included unless it is on your Launch list:

  • A roof check quiz
  • A before and after project gallery
  • A drone inspection showcase
  • Estimate request forms

Your own photos go up only if they are yours. We never make up jobs, reviews or years in business.

Rainy season, made a little easier

Here is what a Launch can do for a roofer on the coast, if you want each part:

  • Online booking. We connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. We add your estimate visits and your hours. A homeowner books a time you have open, and it lands on your calendar. We make one real test booking with you.
  • Online payments. Deposits and payments go into your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account. We never hold your money.
  • A client portal. Homeowners sign in with a code we email them. They see their bookings, quotes, invoices and files, like photos of the job.
  • One contact list. Every form, booking and payment becomes a contact. No more names on the back of a receipt in the truck.

Every Launch also has forms that send each message to the inbox you name. Your real company name, crew, services, logo and colours go on the site. It works on a phone, which matters when someone is standing under a leak.

A Launch is $2,500 CAD plus GST, paid once. That covers two hours of live building with one of our people. We set up and test each part with you on the call.

Change it from the truck

Weather changes your week fast. You may need to tell people you are booked up, or that you now do gutters.

After Launch, you change your site by telling it what you want, in plain English, like a text message. Type "add a note that we are booking estimates two weeks out" or "add a page about gutter cleaning in Courtenay." On the call, you make one real change this way, with us beside you. We also teach you the visual editor, for quick fixes to words and photos.

Your site runs in your own Replit account. We charge $0 a month, and your host bills about $20 US a month for use. That is the host's bill, in US dollars. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. You own the code. You can leave any time with a full copy.
