Vitale Plumbing: a demo that sorts the burst pipe from the slow drain

A cold snap hits the Lower Mainland. Overnight, a pipe in a crawl space gives way. By breakfast there is water on the basement floor, and a homeowner is searching for a plumber on their phone with wet socks on.

Across town, someone else has a kitchen tap that drips. It can wait a few days.

Both of them land on your website. The best plumbing sites know the difference.

Vitale is a made-up business

Vitale Plumbing & Mechanical is a made-up plumber. It is not a real company, and it is not a client. We run it as a demo of our Plumber starter. It is set in New Vibe City, a made-up city we use for all our demos.

Anything shown on the demo is not included unless it is on your Launch list. We will be plain about what a Launch does include.

One question at the top

Open Vitale Plumbing. The first thing it asks is simple: what do you need help with?

Then it gives three paths. An emergency, like a burst pipe or a big leak, goes straight to a phone number. A routine repair goes to booking a time. A bigger job, like a remodel, goes to an estimate request.

That is the idea worth taking from the demo. A person in a panic should not have to read. A person planning a remodel should not have to call. One question sends each of them the right way.

Lower down, the page lists the core services. Home plumbing, commercial work, drains, water heaters, emergencies and upkeep plans. Short lines, no fuss.

Shown on the demo, but not included unless it is on your Launch list:

  • An emergency triage system
  • A plumbing risk quiz
  • An estimate wizard
  • Maintenance plans
  • A customer portal with home profiles
  • A partner referral portal
  • Service area pages

What a Launch sets up for a plumber

A Launch is $2,500 CAD plus GST, paid once. You get two hours, live, with one of our people. If you want them, we set up and test each of these with you:

  • Online booking. We connect your Google or Microsoft calendar. We add your job types, like a service call or an estimate visit, and your hours. Then we make one real test booking.
  • Online payments. Invoices and deposits are paid into your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account. We never hold your money. If your customers pay you by Interac e-Transfer now, you can keep taking that offline.
  • A client portal. Customers sign in with a code we email them. They see their bookings, quotes, invoices and files.
  • One contact list. Every form, booking and payment becomes a contact. We bring over the contacts you have now.

Every Launch also has forms that send each message to the inbox you name. Your real company name, crew, services, logo and colours go on the site. It works on a phone, which is how a homeowner with a leak will find you.

Change it between calls

Your week shifts with the weather. One day you add a service. Another day you need to say you are booked solid until Tuesday.

After Launch, you change your site by telling it what you want, in plain English, like a text message. Type "add hot water tank installs to our services" or "put a note at the top that we are booked until Tuesday." On the call, you make one real change this way, with us beside you. We also teach you the visual editor, so you can tap on words or a photo and fix them where they sit.

Your site runs in your own Replit account. We charge $0 a month, and your host bills about $20 US a month for use. That is the host's bill, in US dollars. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. You own the code, and you can leave any time with a full copy.
